About the role:
We are seeking a Technical Officer to join our Regulation and Compliance team based in Thornton, on a Monday to Friday roster with reasonable overtime available. Reporting through to the Service Coordinator, you will work closely with the team to carry out service work in line with quality-controlled processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
Conduct calibration and repair of gas detection and electrical equipment devices in Workshops and on Mine sites around the Newcastle and Hunter Valley as required
Ensure any quality or non-conformance issues are reported to the appropriate manager
Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping
Assist in initiating leads or opportunities for sales of services or products
Conducting audits and risk assessments
Being an advocate for safety and demonstrate behaviours aligned to safety
About you:
Electrical or electronics trade qualifications or equivalent
Current Driver's Licence
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff (verbal and written)
Working ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
Strong attention-to-detail
Computer literacy demonstrated ability to use Microsoft office applications
EEHA Certification (desirable but not essential)
Experience operating calibration equipment and calibrate devices used in gas detection (desirable but not essential)
