CAPTAIN (TYPE RATED DASH 8) Position Details Location: Perth-based Employment Type: Permanent – Full-time Salary: Attractive remuneration package (above award) Career Progression: Opportunities for suitably qualified candidates to progress into training and checking roles and/or management positions. Nantay Pty Ltd, trading as Maroomba Airlines, operates a fleet of Dash 8-100 and Dash 8-300 aircraft, with the Dash 8-400 soon to join our growing fleet. We proudly serve a diverse portfolio of valued clients and continue to expand our route structure and operations. As our business grows, we are seeking experienced and type-rated Dash 8 Captains to lead aircraft operations across all phases of flight, pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight. Our primary operations support the FIFO industry within approximately two hours of Perth. The Role As a Captain at Maroomba Airlines, you are not only responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, but you are also a leader. Our operations require structured roster coverage to maintain reliability and safety. Full-time roles follow operationally driven rosters. Minimum Requirements Essential Valid Australian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Right to live and work in Australia. Command Instrument Rating. Current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate. Desirable Operational experience relative to Maroomba Airlines route structure (eg; remote areas, non-certified aerodromes, non-instrument approach airports). Experience Essential Total Flight Time: 2,000hrs (prefer minimum 3,000hrs) Total Command Time: Minimum 2,500hrs Total Multi-Engine Command Time: Minimum 500hrs Dash 8 Type Rating (Comparable types considered). Skills and Attributes Demonstrated professional work ethic and positive disposition. Strong leadership capability and command presence. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to perform duties independently and responsibly. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in EFB software and operational systems. Adaptability to changing schedules and operational environments governed by a Rostering Policy.
