Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher of piano to join our vibrant and supportive music community. As an Instrumental Music Teacher, you will provide individual lessons, teach small groups in the Year Seven Instrumental Programme and be an excellent accompanist.
Role details
- Part-time (0.6 FTE) fixed term position, commencing 27 January 2026
- Based at the Keilor East campus
- Based at the Keilor East campus (Year 7-12) with the required working day on Friday, other days negotiable
Responsibilities
- Provide individual piano lessons and teach small ensemble or group sessions
- Act as an accompanist for school events
- Contribute to a collaborative music program and support student wellbeing and engagement
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate
- Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching piano
- Ability to engage and inspire students in individual lessons and ensembles
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Support for a culture of thinking, student care, and wellbeing
- Support for the school's music events and activities
Requirements
- Suitably qualified and experienced, holding either VIT registration or a current Working With Children Check
- Eligible to work in Australia
