Graduate Mechanical Engineer role in Chinchilla offering hands-on mining and heavy industrial projects with strong mentorship and career growth.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
* Perform mechanical engineering design including pumping, piping, and structural components.
* Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and industry best practices (AS1170, AS1418, AS1657, AS2033, AS4041, AS4024, AS4100, ASME B31, etc.).
* Use engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Plant 3D, SPACE GASS, Pipe Flow Expert, AutoPIPE, or similar.
* Conduct engineering audits and reviews, prepare reports, and deliver technical presentations.
* Manage multidisciplinary projects including project correspondence, documentation, budgets, and estimates.
* Participate in onsite and office-based work throughout project lifecycles.
* Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver quality outcomes.
* Work alongside senior, principal, and RPEQ engineers to improve and deliver quality engineering services.
About You
What you\'ll need:
* Final-year or recent Mechanical Engineering graduate.
* Passion for applying theoretical knowledge to real-world mining and heavy industrial solutions.
* Keen eye for detail and ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
* Prior site experience or familiarity with engineering software is a bonus.
* Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) recognised and accepted by Engineers Australia or planning to obtain it.
