Neilly Davies Consulting Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Jaffna Office (Jaffna, Sri Lanka) with experience in the Structural Design & Load Assessment of residential, infrastructure and industrial structures. The position is currently available for immediate start.
The Candidate
As a Structural Engineer, your role will be dynamic and fast‐paced. You will be the main point of contact for structural‐related projects and work directly under the guidance of the Team Leader, Structural Designs, Sydney, and report to the Branch Manager, Jaffna, for day‐to‐day administrative activities.
Your role will include:
* Performing structural engineering designs and investigations across various building & infrastructure projects, including inspections.
* Manage and deliver projects in liaison with other team leaders in the Neilly Davies Group, clients, and relevant stakeholders.
* Producing technical reports and asset records of residential and infrastructure assets.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering from a reputable University.
* A minimum of 5+ years of practical experience in the field.
* Experience in working on large-scale, high‐rise residential, industrial and infrastructure projects.
* Proficient in ETABS, SAP, SAFE in the CSI Suite of software or similar and related software.
* A strong interest in FE modelling and proficiency in analysing and interpreting intricate models and reporting.
* Familiarity with International Standards and Codes of Practice.
* Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and all associated parties, including the staff in our Sydney office, a team‐oriented candidate with a 'can‐do' attitude.
