Short-term, Full-time leadership opportunity, Youth Refuge program Values driven, social impact organisation South Melbourne base, $67ph Super The Organisation A well-established community services organisation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, Locum to lead an innovative, 24/7 youth refuge supporting young people aged 12–25 experiencing homelessness and complex barriers. The Role This senior operational role provides leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed, healing-oriented accommodation and wraparound support. You will be responsible for service quality, workforce leadership, compliance, budgets and performance, while driving a positive culture and continuous practice improvement. Working closely with senior leaders and partner services, you will play a keyrole in strengthening integrated models of care, supporting staff working with high-risk and vulnerable young people, and ensuring services meet contractual, quality and child safety requirements. The Candidate You are a values-driven leader with strong experience in youth homelessness or related human services, confident managing complex operations, leading teams through challenge and change, and delivering safe, high-quality outcomes. You bring sound knowledge of trauma-informed practice, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to balance operational rigour with compassion and innovation. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Work, Social Science, Social Work or related fields with extensive experience working with young people that have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
