About the role A child's brain undergoes critical development during the first 4 years of life, developing critical skills for play, learning, speech and everything in between. Our Central Early Childhood and Families Service supports birth to preschool aged children when early signs of developmental delays have been identified. Our multi-disciplinary team provide developmental assessment and intervention to support these children and their families to achieve their developmental milestones, setting them up for success. Provide occupational therapy services to children with developmental delays, delivering assessments, therapy, and care in a multidisciplinary team. Work independently across community locations in Adelaide, liaising with families and agencies, managing caseloads, and making referrals to ensure integrated, high-quality care. Key duties of the role Develop, coordinate and implement high quality occupational therapy services Provide accurate assessment and evaluation of clients with a range of developmental delays Liaise with families, staff and other local community services to provide an integrated approach Act as a clinical consultation resource to other staff members, agencies, and community groups Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to students and early career clinicians Skills and Experience Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
