Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Key Role Responsibilities:
* Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a secondary setting.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning strategies for better student outcomes.
* Help pupils develop emotional regulation skills, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to support plans.
Essential Qualities and Skills:
* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or within an SEN setting.
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach with excellent behaviour management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building trust with students.
* Understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection policies.
