Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Leader to join our dynamic team as an Executive Sous Chef. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to showcase their culinary expertise and lead a successful flight catering team at Perth Airport.
As part of our senior leadership team, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver world-class airline food quality standards across all classes. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of quality, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen, ensuring that our passengers receive an outstanding dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and deliver world-class airline food quality standards.
* Oversee department planning and execution activities to achieve production and financial targets.
* Coordinate labour, resources, materials, and equipment for efficient operational plan execution within budget constraints.
* Manage all aspects of food catering, including meal presentations, charter catering, menu changes, and audits.
* Focus on continuous efficiency and productivity improvement.
* Motivate, mentor, and develop the Kitchen team.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures.
* Minimize waste and cost controls.
* Keep all Kitchen staff up to date with required training.
Requirements:
* Trade qualified with experience as a Sous Chef or higher.
* Experience in large or bulk catering facilities in manufacturing or FMCG.
* Strong understanding of HACCP / Food Safety / WHS and QA.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent time and interpersonal management skills.
* Experience in managing a large cross-functional team.
* Previous Airline Catering experience is highly desirable but not essential.
