Job Description
This pivotal management position offers a unique opportunity to provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of nurses in General and Emergency settings. You will promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Nurse Unit Managers, contributing to the implementation of practice changes and undertaking service management responsibilities.
These responsibilities include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, and attendance management, as well as financial and supplies planning and monitoring.
You will utilize your nursing skills and knowledge to support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team, making a real difference and feeling like an important part of the community.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
* Proven experience in acute general medical and surgical nursing, including experience in team leader roles and shift coordination.
* Ability to give supervision to student nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and less experienced Registered Nurses.
