We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a Technology team supporting a large, customer-facing retail business.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with business stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements and define the scope of work
* Conduct detailed analysis of customer and business requests, including:
* Using appropriate techniques and methods to elicit and document requirements and business processes
* Documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements
* Mapping and documenting current and future-state business processes
* Providing advice and feedback to support process improvement and fault resolution
* Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand needs and translate them into clear user stories for delivery
* Work independently on assigned tasks with appropriate guidance and oversight
* Collaborate effectively with delivery, development, and broader technology teams
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Business Analyst role delivering complex artefacts, project outputs, and/or ICT initiatives
* Strong experience in requirements elicitation, requirements definition, business process re-engineering, and process mapping
* Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
* Strong experience working on digital and web-based projects
* Experience developing requirements for online self-service platforms
* Ability to identify risks and issues, track and manage problems, propose solutions, and escalate where appropriate
* Experience facilitating requirements-gathering workshops using one or more recognised methodologies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated experience writing high-quality user stories and detailed business requirements, including acceptance criteria
