Female Support Worker – Inner Darwin (ASD Experience Required)
We are seeking a female, well-spoken English-speaking Support Worker to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based in the Inner Darwin City area.
This role is ideal for someone experienced, patient, and passionate about supporting children's development both at home, in the community, and within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing developmental support tailored to a child with ASD
* Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills
* In-school support once school resumes
* Facilitating community access activities (social outings, skill-building, recreation)
* Working collaboratively with family, educators, and therapists
* Maintaining a calm, consistent, and supportive approach
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience supporting children with ASD
* Clear, confident, and well-spoken English communication skills
* Ability to engage positively with children in varied settings
* Reliable, patient, and compassionate nature
* Valid Working With Children Check (NT)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
Desirable:
* Experience with developmental or behavioural support
* Background in disability support, education, or allied health assistance
