Job Title: Injury Management Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Injury Management Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellbeing of all workers through proactive injury management, facilitating workers compensation processes, and promoting general health strategies.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement injury management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Conduct workplace assessments and investigations into incidents and injuries.
* Provide support and guidance to employees on workplace health and safety matters.
* Facilitate workers compensation claims and manage rehabilitation programs.
* Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
* Minimum three years occupational health/injury management experience, preferably in the mining industry or remote community.
* Qualifications in Occupational Health, Nursing, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiologist desirable.
* Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety, Injury Manager or Return to Work Coordinator Certificate.
* St John Senior First Aid certificate or equivalent.
* Awareness of the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981.
