WE NEED
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team in a full-time and permanent position. The position will be responsible for the maintenance and mechanical servicing of the company's vehicle fleet and ensure all vehicles remain operational.
MAIN TASKS:
· Assisting in the design, development and modification of automotive mechanical equipment, assemblies and vehicle systems
· Selecting appropriate tools, diagnostic equipment and materials for automotive engineering and testing activities
· Assembling, installing and modifying mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, control systems and hydraulic systems used in automotive applications
· Collecting, analysing and interpreting technical data, conducting calculations and preparing technical reports
· estimating material quantities, costs and equipment requirements for automotive engineering projects
RESPONSIBIBILITIES:
· Supporting our team to deliver automotive engineering projects in accordance with design specifications and objectives
· Organising, coordinating and supervising the inspection, testing and maintenance of automotive machinery, vehicles and plant equipment
· Ensuring all designs, modifications and completed work comply with relevant specifications, Australian standards, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations
· Maintaining accurate technical records, test results and engineering documentation
· Ensuring the safe use of tools, equipment and testing facilities in line with workplace health and safety policies
· Assisting with troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and continuous improvement of automotive mechanical systems
QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Diploma or a higher qualification in a highly relevant field
· At least three (3) years of Mechanical Engineering Technician experience may substitute for the formal qualification
· Great work ethic and determination and precision to detail.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
Salary based on experience and skill level
Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
