Due to our ongoing expansion and increasing project demands, we are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. About the Role This full-time position will support our engineering and project management teams in planning, drafting, technical assessments, documentation, and site inspections. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all civil and structural projects are delivered to specification, compliant with regulations, and of the highest quality. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: Assisting in the preparation of technical drawings, plans, and documentation for civil and structural works. Supporting design and planning activities by gathering measurements, conducting calculations, and reviewing project requirements. Carrying out site visits to observe progress, check compliance, and identify any issues that may affect timelines or quality. Gathering and analysing data from project sites, including soil conditions, materials, and environmental factors. Preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, and updating project files as work progresses. Working closely with engineers to review plans, assess construction methods, and ensure all works meet relevant standards. Helping with cost estimates, material quantities, and planning for upcoming stages of the project. Assisting in basic materials testing and quality checks to support engineering assessments. Providing general technical support across the project team as required. Skills & Experience Required Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction Design or related discipline. Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a Civil Engineering Technician or technical engineering support role. Strong understanding of civil construction processes, materials and engineering standards. Proficiency with CAD software and engineering calculation tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Work Location Our main office is located in Rouse Hill, NSW, with occasional travel to project sites across Sydney as required.
