Role Overview
As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all engineering activities within the organization. This includes managing engineers and technical specialists to ensure output quality, adherence to industry standards, and timely delivery of projects.
* Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technical specialists in planning, organizing, and executing technical projects within agreed timelines.
* Oversee the entire technical process, ensuring compliance with quality standards and industry regulations (e.g., AS/NZS 61439).
* Allocate and manage technical tasks to align with project priorities and team capacity.
* Ensure milestones are met and report progress to senior management.
* Manage project deliverables, forecasts, and pipelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Escalate inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or risks to project completion as soon as practicable.
* Maintain and update technical documentation, including design templates, SOPs, work instructions, and technical guidelines.
* Facilitate regular technical team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align objectives.
* Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements.
* Review, validate, and approve technical designs, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and production drawings.
* Monitor and improve team performance using KPIs.
* Provide training and upskilling opportunities for team members.
* Support research and development initiatives to enhance intellectual property.
* Maintain strong customer relationships.
* Perform other duties as directed by management.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience.
* Membership with Engineers Australia.
* Proven experience in manufacturing environments, electrical products, and fabrication.

* Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
