This is a Placement Broker role with Marsh McLennan based in Melbourne, VIC, AU Marsh McLennan Role Seniority - senior More about the Placement Broker role at Marsh McLennan Company: Marsh Description: Placement Broker We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement Broking team at Marsh. This hybrid role will be based in Melbourne, and will work specifically with Marsh’s leading Affinity Practice. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior Broker wishing to demonstrate their strong relationship management and insurance marketing skills within an exciting dynamic business unit, with a combination of corporate clients, industry associations, and direct to consumer insurance solutions. We will count on you to: Manage the placement of existing and new business while serving as a key negotiator and problem solver in obtaining the most appropriate placements based on our client needs Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, practice leaders, claims personnel and client service teams Assist in the design, planning and implementation of clear and effective renewal and broking strategies as required, across both individual clients and member/industry associations Keep abreast of changing market conditions and inform practice client servicing teams, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage What you need to have: Ideally, a minimum of 4 years’ experience within a broking, underwriting or placement position A solid understanding of risk management and major classes of insurance Relevant Broking qualifications (Tier 1 Compliance) and tertiary studies are desired Experience in financial lines broking (especially Professional indemnity and Management liability) will be highly regarded.
