About the Role
They are seeking an experienced Transformer Technician (Electrical) to join their Field Services team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Installing, refurbishing, repairing, and upgrading transformers, including associated electrical work
* Supervising offloading, assembly, fluid processing, and electrical testing of transformer equipment
* Performing electrical fault finding, testing, and commissioning
* Preparing and completing all compliance and site documentation
* Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification in Electrical (A-Grade License preferred) or Mechanical background
* 5+ years' experience working with high-voltage substation or transformer equipment
* Strong knowledge of HV installation, testing, and maintenance practices
* Ability to interpret electrical wiring, control diagrams, and technical drawings
* Proven ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in high-risk environments
* Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service
Highly Regarded
* Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
* Experience holding Network Authority to receive electrical access permits
* Mechanical assembly experience with large HV assets
