The Role
This role sits within a factory based construction and manufacturing environment where structural engineering decisions directly inform production. Your designs move straight into automated systems, fabrication and assembly. It is a hands on timber engineering role focused on delivering compliant, efficient and build ready structural solutions that support manufacturing, automation and downstream modelling.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Providing structural design input for timber based residential systems
* Applying Australian Timber Standards and NCC requirements within a manufacturing context
* Using structural analysis tools to validate and optimise designs for production efficiency
* Translating architectural concepts into practical, manufacturable structural solutions
* Working closely with modellers, drafters and the factory team to ensure buildability
* Engineering in line with DFMA principles and factory based workflows
The Criteria
* Engineering background with timber exposure
* Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering or similar qualifications
* Understanding of NCC and Australian Timber Standards
* Revit exposure helpful but not essential
* Personal Attributes: A courageous mindset, values driven and a passion for delivering change.
