The Customer Engagement & Communications Unit is responsible for collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure the Council engages effectively with the community. This role will embed a customer-first approach, providing high-quality advice to the Council and communication and engagement with the local community.
The Communications and Engagement team is responsible for coordinating and implementing community engagement, digital and traditional media activities, internal and external communications, and graphic design. The team engages the community across a variety of channels, including media, website, social media and direct community liaison.
The Unit includes the City’s Customer Experience function which is a first point of customer contact for the community including through frontline service delivery from Council’s Customer Service Centres in Bendigo and Heathcote. The Unit supports customer service across the organisation and identifies customer trends to ensure business processes are focussed on a customer-first approach to service delivery.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Provide administrative support across the Customer Engagement & Communications Team.
- Face to face customer service
- Provide phone and email customer service support
- Assist the Customer Engagement & Communications Leadership Team with project management tasks.
- Support Communications & Engagement Staff with web maintenance.
