About The Role
The Mechanical Fitter (Afternoon shift roster) role is a Full-time position, based at Wantirna South, Victoria. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager at our manufacturing site, you will be working Monday to Friday on the afternoon roster (2pm-10pm) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Complete planned maintenance tasks. Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs. General machining Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor. Mechanical Fitting, maintenance related to conveyors, strappers,Kiln rails, extruder,bricks handling machinery ,conveyors, bearings rollers etc. Fabrication-Simple stick and MiG welding Competence in Welding Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill. Exposure to Hydraulics Strong Safety standards. Conversant in Take 2, JSEA Safety tools. Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
