The pivotal role of our Harvest Operations Team is indispensable to the success of our harvest. We seek a dependable, skilled, and efficient individual to handle the transportation of our fruit, contribute to packaging processes, and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities. We are seeking an experienced forklift operator, high reach an advantage and a HR licence will be highly regarded for this role, with approximately 25% of shifts involving driving responsibilities. Additionally, maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workplace is a crucial aspect of these responsibilities.
Our Harvest Operations Team is brought on board seasonally, specifically for our berry Harvest. You will be engaged for the duration of this harvest season.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operation of pallet jacks, walkie stacker and counterbalance forklifts
· Load and unload trucks and other transport vehicles, ensuring the careful handling of all produce and materials.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory movements to support stock management.
· Conduct regular maintenance checks on forklift equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
· Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and practices, operating procedures, and food safety requirements.
· Prepare loads for dispatch, using load plans to accurately prepare loads for multiple destinations.
· Assist with other warehouse and site duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Must be physically fit.
· Must have a valid forklift licence with previous experience.
· HR licence would be an advantage, with approximately 25% of shifts involving a driving role.
· Have a strong work etic and keen sense of initiative.
· Be self-motivated and results focussed.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Have a positive attitude.
· Possess strong time management and organisational skills.
· Strong understanding of workplace safety and health regulations.
