MEP Technical Manager
We are seeking a technically capable and collaborative MEP Technical Manager to join our team on a landmark project that will shape the future of Sydney's transport network.
This is a key leadership role, overseeing the successful delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems from design through installation, testing, and commissioning. You will be responsible for managing and directing the Design Justification Verifications (DJVs), ensuring timely certification, programme milestones, and successful operational outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, preferably with experience in large-scale infrastructure delivery, particularly with a focus on MEP systems. They should possess excellent communication skills, ability to coordinate cross-functionally across construction, OEMs, and design teams, and be skilled in planning, risk mitigation, and value engineering on high-complexity infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and direct the DJV process to ensure shop drawing comment close-out and Technical Advisor Office (TAO) certification.
* Oversee MEP delivery from AFC design through installation, testing, and commissioning.
* Manage building system value engineering initiatives to successful outcomes.
* Provide on-ground delivery support for MEP construction and installation teams.
* Coordinate with OEMs to ensure achievement of programme milestones.
* Manage key control systems suppliers (BMCS, TIDS, EACS, TVCS, etc.).
* Support the NAS team with NAC Gate 4 and 5 applications.
* Assist the Testing & Commissioning and Completions teams to meet programme and operational targets.
* Closely collaborate with the broader D&C management team to align on KPIs and strategic project goals.
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* Large-scale infrastructure delivery experience, preferably with a focus on MEP systems.
* Strong understanding of MEP shop drawing review processes and TAO certification pathways.
* Demonstrated leadership in managing large MEP packages from design through commissioning.
* Effective communicator with ability to coordinate cross-functionally across construction, OEMs, and design.
* Skilled in planning, risk mitigation, and value engineering on high-complexity infrastructure.
