Spanos IGA is seeking an experienced and passionate Deli Leaderto join us on a full-time basis We are looking for a foodie with experience in retail who can lead and inspire their team and create a market leading offer for our local community.
As a department manager/supervisor, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the Department within the store, leading your team to deliver an exceptional fresh food offering to our customers.
The store is open 7 days a week and involves some flexibility of working hours to suit the business and the successful candidate.
Tasks & duties include:
* Management of financial targets
* Production of high-quality take-home meals
* Preparation of fresh, healthy salads, and other food offerings
* Overseeing a team of deli staff including rostering
* Inventory & stock management
Requirements & attributes:
* Prior experience with people management & leadership
* Previous retail department manager experience is essential
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to manage financial targets
* Sound inventory management skills (ordering, stock management, monitoring price changes)
* A team player and motivational leader
* Flexible working arrangements, including some weekend work
