Yarn Marketplace, Australia's largest First Nations-supporting business, is looking for a Senior Marketing & Community Strategist to lead our digital marketing efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our content strategy, grow our ambassador program, and drive community engagement while supporting and celebrating First Nations culture.
What Does This Role Look Like?
As the Senior Marketing & Community Strategist, you'll take the lead in driving Yarn's marketing strategy, creating impactful content, and fostering strong relationships with our community of artists and ambassadors. This role is ideal for a highly experienced marketer who thrives in the eCommerce world, has a strategic mindset, and understands the importance of leveraging tools, data, and AI innovations to deliver measurable results.
We're looking for someone with the expertise to elevate our content game, expand our community engagement initiatives, and rocket-launch our ambassador program to new heights.
Your Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy & Content Creation
* Develop and execute a data-driven digital marketing strategy that spans social media, email marketing, website content, and paid campaigns.
* Create high-impact, engaging content tailored to platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, driving both brand growth and online sales.
* Utilize AI tools and emerging technologies to optimize content production, campaign targeting, and performance tracking.
* Manage content calendars, ensuring timely execution of campaigns, and provide detailed performance insights to optimize strategies.
* Collaborate closely with our design team to ensure visual assets align with strategic goals and brand consistency.
Ambassador Program & Community Growth
* Lead and scale Yarn's ambassador program, implementing innovative strategies to recruit, engage, and support ambassadors.
* Use proven tools and techniques to empower ambassadors with resources, promotional materials, and best practices to amplify their impact.
* Bring fresh, creative ideas to expand community engagement across all touchpoints, strengthening Yarn's connection with First Nations artists and audiences.
eCommerce Growth & Digital Innovation
* Apply your extensive eCommerce experience to develop marketing strategies that drive conversions and optimize customer journeys.
* Partner with the product and marketing teams to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and key sales events.
* Leverage analytics tools to track campaign performance and inform strategies with actionable data insights.
* Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and innovations, especially in AI, ensuring Yarn remains at the forefront of online engagement.
Artist Relations & Cultural Connection
* Build and nurture meaningful relationships with First Nations artists and creators, acting as their primary point of contact.
* Identify and onboard new artist collaborations, bringing in unique and culturally significant collections to expand Yarn's offerings.
* Support artists by providing them with resources to effectively engage with digital audiences.
What We're Looking For
* 7+ years of experience in a senior marketing, content, or digital strategy role, with a strong focus on eCommerce.
* Proven success in scaling ambassador programs or influencer initiatives.
* Expertise in creating and executing high-impact digital marketing strategies across social media, email, and website channels.
* Deep understanding of analytics and performance metrics, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
* Familiarity with AI tools and a track record of incorporating emerging technologies into marketing strategies.
* Experience in sourcing and managing creative assets while maintaining brand consistency.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with a passion for creating culturally sensitive and authentic content.
* A collaborative, proactive mindset, with the ability to bring new ideas to the table and drive initiatives forward.
