Overview

Term: Fixed-term, part-time basis for 29 hrs per week for 6 months.

Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading).

Location: Kelvin Grove campus and the QUT Genomics Research Centre in Logan.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Manager to join the School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health. This is a part-time maternity leave replacement position, offered for a fixed term to support the delivery of the Pasifika Health Study. The Project Manager will provide leadership and management of the Genomic Research Centre's Pasifika Health Study. Under the supervision of the Study Director, the Project Manager will manage the activities and logistics of the project including the delivery of administrative services, staffing recruitment, operational responsibility for the project's budget, milestone reporting and stakeholder consultation. The Project Manager will also manage the development of the project, liaising with external and internal QUT partners where necessary. What You Need To Succeed

* Education, training and/or relevant research related experience equivalent to the completion of a postgraduate degree qualification with relevant work experience in a related role.
* Significant project management experience and organisational skills, including experience in the development of project budgets, stakeholder consultation and milestone reporting.
* Demonstrated experience in facilitating staff and coordinating processes to meet key milestones and objectives.
* Experience in the coordination of grant bids and industry engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with the proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks and workflow to meet project deadlines.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Knowledge and/or experience of human genomics research, technologies and trends.
