We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading subsea equipment and services provider to the offshore renewables, oil & gas, and marine science markets. Based in Perth, this permanent Survey Technician role is ideal for someone with a background in electronic engineering or relevant experience, who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about developing a career in a technology-driven environment. You'll play a key role in supporting daily operations by preparing, testing, and maintaining survey equipment for offshore and onshore projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and test equipment before rental and after return.
* Conduct function testing, software/firmware updates, and cable integrity checks.
* Ensure equipment completeness against packing lists.
* Inspect, check, and document equipment returned from hire.
* Perform visual inspections, function testing, and write technical reports.
* Identify in-house or external repair needs.
* Prepare assets for rapid delivery to clients.
* Handle general warehouse and delivery duties.
* Check, inspect, and document equipment during mobilisation and demobilisation.
* Set up, interface, and function test equipment on mobilisation.
* Troubleshoot equipment issues to successful resolution.
* Assist offshore survey teams as required.
* Attend offshore training and complete offshore medicals.
