Warehouse Assistant
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in their work. You will be responsible for:
* Operating baling machines to support export production and facilitating the storage of goods
* Manually moving crates/items to ensure a continual supply of stock for production
* Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks and containers
* Packing rags to operational standards in preparation for dispatch
* Maintaining workstations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner
* Ensuring equipment is maintained in a fully operational condition and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisors
* Recording all paperwork relative to your role accurately and on a daily basis
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A valid QLD MR (Medium Rigid) drivers licence
* A forklift license and prior experience working in a warehouse environment
* The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team and organisational goals
* A passion for the industry and ability to articulate its purpose
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
