About The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child Adolescent Mental Health Service Graduate Program as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, where you will be responsible for:
* Provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, counselling, and group work to children, adolescents, and their families.
* Deliver care that promotes recovery and wellbeing, aligned with CAMHS policies, procedures, and professional standards.
* Participate in a structured one-year developmental program, including supervision, reflective learning days, and coordinated learning of CAMHS Competencies.
* Apply developing knowledge and skills in child and adolescent mental health to clinical practice under supervision.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, agencies, and community organisations to ensure coordinated consumer care.
* Contribute to a positive team culture and support quality improvement initiatives within CAMHS.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Appropriate degree of equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (up to July 2012) or Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (post July 2012). Or:
* Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
* Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
* Work with a high degree of responsibility and supervision and direction commensurate with experience.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver clinical assessments of a complex nature for children, adolescents, and their families experiencing mental health concerns, drawing on a range of theoretical models and approaches.
* Proven experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engaging with other agencies and professional groups to design, implement, and evaluate therapeutic or preventative programs.
