People Services Officer
Wunan Foundation is a leading Aboriginal development organisation based in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Its purpose is to ensure that Aboriginal people enjoy the capabilities and opportunities necessary to make positive choices that lead to independent, fulfilling lives.
Wunan is seeking an Administration Support Person to join our People & Services team based in Kununurra
Key Duties
* Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment processes
* Producing employment documents and reports
* Liaise with employees and managers on employment administration-related HR queries
* Provide support and advice to staff regarding employment terms, policies, workplace queries & concerns
* Administrative support to the People Services team
* Monitor & redirect compliance emails & WHS incident reports
* Assist in performance management, incident reporting, and disciplinary procedures
* Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, industry awards, and company policies
Essential Criteria:
* Knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to HR and IR
* Qualifications in Human Resource, Business Management or other related field or equivalent experience (or willingness to work towards)
* Ability to take initiative and work autonomously as well as work co-operatively as part of a tea
Desirable criteria:
* A strong understanding of Indigenous people in general, and of Indigenous people and communities in the East Kimberley in particular
* Excellent communication skills at all levels and working as part of a team.
* Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the use of range of software applications (e.g. MS Office programs)
* Strong organisation, time management and planning skills.
Pre-employment requirements
o Satisfactory Criminal History Check (not older than 6 months)
o Current Australian unrestricted 'C' class Driver's license
