* Fixed term to 30 June 2026, part-time, 20 hours per week, with the possibility of extension.
* Current UNE Staff: In taking up this appointment, please be aware your current fixed term or permanent role will cease the day prior to you taking this position
* $ 75,439 to $ 86,992 (Part time pro rata) per annum (HEO5)
* Plus 17%employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum, part time pro rata
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum, part time pro rata
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum, part time pro rata
* Armidale based role.

About The Role
The IT Support Officer will provide IT Help Desk services for schools implementing the QuickSmart program and specialist IT support to SiMERR staff and projects.
About You
Join our team providing specialist IT support to SiMERR staff and schools, resolving incidents, maintaining systems, and contributing to projects. We're looking for someone with relevant qualifications or experience in areas like ITIL/Agile, software distribution, software testing, SOE support, software distribution, software testing, or web development, coupled with strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. This part-time, on-campus role in Armidale NSW requires availability from 10am-2pm Monday to Friday with a period of full-time work early in the year.
About SiMERR
The SiMERR National Research Centre consists of a team of approx. 20 people including academic staff whose expertise lies in science, mathematics and ICT education and addressing learning difficulties. SiMERR has a significant focus on numeracy and literacy basic skills through its QuickSmart program.
The QuickSmart program comprises a suite of numeracy and literacy interventions designed to meet the diverse needs of at-risk learners, such as underachieving school students in Years 4 to 10, educationally disadvantaged adult learners in correctional centres, apprentices struggling with vocational courses and individuals living in remote communities.
