About the Role
This is a senior leadership position that oversees all locomotive sales and services operations in the Asia region. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing revenue and margin for our company through increased sales of end products, parts and services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Sales and operations management with responsibility to win and grow our locomotive sales, aftermarket sales and services business in Asian countries including Indonesia, China, India, New Zealand, South Korea and Bangladesh.
* Lead and execute business strategy by providing hands-on aggressive leadership, manage a team of people as required, coordinate and develop capabilities (direct and through partnerships) to offer expanded services in-country, for-country to maximize our regional Operating Profit after Capital Charge (OPACC).
* Create and maintain high level and professional relationships with end customers, settle technical details and negotiate commercial contracts with customers as needed, proficient in achieving sales and profit targets set in agreement with our leadership.
* Develop and maintain a network of high caliber agents and partners to support our regional goals, execute strategy and lead regional teams of sales and services leaders, ability to build and position the overall corporate image, branding and market awareness of the company in the region.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Australian or Indonesian work-authorised status, minimum bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
* Track record in general management roles with a focus on sales and marketing activities in a capital-intensive sector and winning contracts.
* Previous track record of building a start-up operation is highly desired.
* High energy level with business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit; possesses a continuous improvement mentality.
* Proven experience and credibility of guiding and coaching a team (both locally and at our company) and operating at a senior level.
* Ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive and successful team and motivate and lead by example to facilitate team goals.
