Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Manager to join their team of 5 based in inner west suburb of Sydney. We are looking for someone with end-to-end payroll and team leadership experience. This role directly reports to the Group Financial Controller and is based 5 days in office.
The Role
* Lead and manage a payroll team of 5, including 2 Senior Payroll Specialists and 3 Payroll Officers
* Provide hands‐on leadership, coaching, and performance management across the payroll function
* End‐to‐end payroll responsibility up to 5,000 employees, with an additional 1,000 seasonal staff during peak Christmas periods
* Oversee multiple payroll cycles, including a monthly payroll for 200 head office employees and fortnightly payroll for executives and retail staff
Your Profile
* End-to-end payroll processing experience
* Strong experience with Chris21 is a MUST
* Proven experience managing large-scale payroll environments
* Demonstrated team leadership and people management capability
* Solid experience with year-end payroll processes and reporting.
