Role
As a Principal / Lead Consultant within our Intelligent Data Practice at Arinco you will play a key role in the delivery of end‐to‐end customer projects, focusing on providing expertise in the intelligent data domain. You will also contribute to Arinco's internal engineering culture through development of new offerings, IP and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
* Lead high‐level customer engagements in intelligent data.
* Provide pre‐sales support to local Account Executives.
* Design, develop and maintain data platforms using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks, including data ingestion, transformation and analytics pipelines.
* Implement data engineering best practices, covering performance optimisation, cost management and robust security across Azure data services.
* Build and maintain scalable, reusable ETL/ELT processes using Python.
* Communicate complex data concepts effectively to technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business analysts, project managers and other key stakeholders to deliver solutions.
Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks.
* Hands‐on experience in data ingestion, transformation and analytics pipelines.
* Deep knowledge of data engineering best practices, performance optimisation, cost management and security on Azure.
* Fluency in Python for ETL/ELT development.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in data governance and data modelling, ensuring compliance and data quality throughout the data lifecycle.
* Hands‐on experience with IaC technologies such as Bicep or Terraform for provisioning and managing Azure resources.
* Proficiency in CI/CD workflows including GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to automate and streamline data solution deployments.
