As a result, we now have greater demand for our servicesand the Department for Correctional Services is increasinginvestment in learning and development to meet this demandincluding a number of new roles.
Our growing team will be responsible for equipping staff andpartners to deliver innovative and evidence-based services thatenable us to achieve our strategic priorities as outlined in theDepartment for Correctional Services Strategic Plan 2022 -2026.

About the Department for CorrectionalServices
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and hasresponsibility for nine prisons and sixteen Community Correctionaloffices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community byprotecting the public and reducing re-offending. We work towardsthis through the contribution of staff who are employed in a widevariety of fields, from correctional officers and teachers, tosocial workers, psychologists and supervisors of court orders.Their commitment ensures we deliver quality services to prisoners,offenders and victims of crime. Duties
The Program Lead Community Corrections is responsible fordeveloping, planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluatingtraining relevant to Community Corrections staff. This includesdelivery and assessment of professional clinical training programsto case managers, intensive compliance officers
and other departmental staff working with offenders and victims inthe community. The position provides high levelprofessional/clinical advice, professional/clinicalsupervision/support for high-risk cases that require additionalconsiderations and training inputs. The Program Lead CommunityCorrections contributes to the formulation of changes inDepartmental operational policies and procedures relating to themanagement of offenders in the community, ensuring that currentpractice is in line with legislation, Departmental Policy andProcedures and is based on current clinical research. The positionis responsible for reviewing, updating, editing and publishing keyguidelines, manuals and forms related to Community Correctionspractice.
Special Conditions
• The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete aNational Criminal History Check;
• A current South Australian Driver’s Licence isessential;
• A flexible approach to working hours is required;
• Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required whichmay necessitate overnight absences.
Requirements
Essential:
1. Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

AHP3 ($101,124 - $110,094pa)
