Service Provider Pre‐Sales Resident Engineer
Role: Act as a trusted technical advocate for key Service Provider customers in Melbourne, developing and validating technical solutions using Cisco's SP portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing technical solutions, building labs, and creating demo or Proof of Concept (POV) environments.
* Configure Cisco Service Provider products to meet specific customer requirements.
* Act as a trusted technical advocate to ensure successful business outcomes for key Service Provider clients in Melbourne.
Required Skill Set
* 5+ years in the networking and telecommunications industry, specifically with Cisco products or key competitor offerings.
* Strong background in Service Provider networking, including OSPF/ISIS, BGP, Segment Routing, Layer 2 & 3 VPNs, and QoS.
* BS/BA in EE/CS.
* Must hold a CCNP (Service Provider or Networking), Cisco Certified DevNet Professional, or CCDP.
* Excellent listening, communication, and analytical problem‐solving skills with a team‐oriented mindset.
Preferred/Highly Regarded Attributes
* Automation: Strong skills in Service Provider routing and network automation.
* Programming: Network programming proficiency in Python and Ansible.
* Advanced Certification: CCDE or CCIE status is considered a significant plus.
