The successful candidate will be responsible for undertakingdevelopment assessment, building certification, plumbing regulation andassociated activities for Council.
To succeed in this role, you will have relevant recentexperience in working within building certification and development assessment. A minimum registration level with NSW Building Commission - Building Surveyor Restricted (Class 1 and 10) is required. Strong working knowledge ofthe relevant legislation as well as proven stakeholder engagement and excellentcommunication skills - both verbal and written is essential.
On a typical day this role will:
* Assessment of Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Development Applications and plumbing and drainage applications.
* Respond to general enquiries.
* Undertaking of critical stage building inspections.
* Working from branch offices from time to time.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $97,130 to $108,719 depending on skills and experience PLUS superannuation of 12%
