Role Overview
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate handling, storage and delivery of furniture‐related products. The role ensures operational continuity across warehouse functions and delivery, supporting inventory integrity, customer satisfaction and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Warehouse Operations
o Receive goods and verify against delivery paperwork.
o Identify and report damage or discrepancies immediately.
o Safely unload and store goods using correct handling techniques.
o Pick, pack, and prepare items accurately for dispatch.
o Assist with stock control, stock takes and cycle counts.
o Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness and safety.
o Protect inventory from damage or loss.
o Assist with stock rotation and damage prevention.
* Delivery and Transport Operations
o Load and secure goods safely for transport.
o Conduct deliveries to residential and commercial customers.
o Safely unload, position and assemble furniture where required.
o Ensure safe handling to prevent injury or product damage.
o Operate delivery vehicles safely in accordance with road regulations.
o Conduct vehicle pre‐start inspections and report defects.
o Complete delivery documentation and accurately obtain customer sign‐off.
o Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
* Safety and Compliance
o Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and policies.
o Use appropriate manual handling techniques.
o Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and equipment (if licensed).
o Identify and report hazards, incidents and near misses immediately.
o Maintain compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
* Operational Support
o Assist with warehouse organization and workflow efficiency.
o Support logistics coordination and dispatch planning.
o Communicate effectively with management, supervisors and team members.
o Assist in maintaining accurate operational records.
o Support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Other
o Perform any other reasonable duties as requested.

o High level of customer satisfaction during deliveries.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
* Experience in warehouse operations, logistics or furniture handling (preferred).
* Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks.
* Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements.
* Reliable, punctual and responsible work ethic.
* Minimum 2 years' experience.
* Experience with MS Office operating system.
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with SAP applications.
* Experience in furniture delivery and installation.
* Experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment.
Tickets and Licenses
* Forklift License (LF High Risk Work License) – required.
* Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's License – required.
* Manual Handling Training – desirable.
Additional Certifications
* White Card.
* First Aid Certificate.
Clearance Required
* Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Department of Defence Security Clearance.
Compensation Details
AUS: $79,000 – $83,600 AUD.
