Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Workshop Manager to oversee and manage daily operations at our Inverell, NSW location. Responsibilities include managing workshop activities, supervising a team of skilled technicians, scheduling and delegating repair work, and maintaining quality standards across all operations. The Workshop Manager will also handle customer inquiries, warranty management, ensure workplace safety compliance, and liaise with suppliers for parts and services.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate a team of technicians.
Extensive technical knowledge of diesel engines, steering, suspension, diagnostics, brakes, and automotive engineering.
Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and managing workshop operations, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional approach to client relations.
Familiarity with automotive parts and inventory management, including experience working with suppliers and handling orders.
Experience with warranty administration or claims management highly regarded
Understanding of safety protocols and ability to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Proven experience in a workshop management or senior technical role in the automotive or heavy diesel industry.
Relevant trade qualification in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
