Gerontological Nursing Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Gerontological Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to older individuals living at home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality nursing care to older persons in accordance with their individual needs and preferences.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes for older persons.
* Advocate and protect the rights of older persons, promoting their dignity and well-being.
* Engage in activities to improve gerontological nursing practice, staying up-to-date with best practices and research findings.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Hold a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Proven experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of aged care policies and procedures, including legislation and regulations.
* Competent use of Office 365 Suite and client management systems.

* Must possess appropriate physical capabilities, with the ability to perform low to medium physical activity on a regular basis.
* Able to work on rotation afterhours, weekends, and public holidays.
* Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
