Role Overview:
ETS are currently seeking a skilled and driven Head Mechanic to join our team at our Inverell workshop in New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and National Fleet and Maintenance Manager to identify areas for improvement in workshop and fleet maintenance activities.
* Coordinate tasks such as routine maintenance, breakdowns, and one-off inspections for both oneself and other mechanics/apprentices, providing job cards and service sheets.
* Ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed to the required standards within specified deadlines according to ETS policies and procedures.
* Supervise workshop activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe completion of work.
* Manage weekly parts ordering for maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant mechanical trade qualifications
* Valid drivers licence (HR licence desirable)
* Experience with diesel trucks, hydraulic systems and vegetation equipment (EWP's, utes, chippers)
* Strong hands on mechanical and hydraulic engineering skills
* Proven team supervision and leadership experience with excellent communication
* Committed to maintaining a strong safety focus
