Overview
We are supporting one of our long-standing clients in hiring a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant. You will join a well-respected, design led architectural practice, where you will provide direct support to the Director.
The ideal candidate will bring strong PA experience, exceptional organisational skills, and a calm, solutions focused approach. A background or interest in architecture is highly advantageous, as the role may also involve contributing to ad hoc design related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
• Manage the Principal Architect’s diary, appointments, and daily workflow.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agendas, briefing notes, and follow up actions.
• Oversee inbox management, prioritising communications and drafting responses where appropriate.
• Arrange travel, accommodation, and itineraries.
• Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence on behalf of the Principal Architect.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement at all times.
Administrative & Studio Support
• Act as a key point of contact between the Principal Architect, clients, consultants, and internal team members.
• Support general administrative functions, including document control, filing, and maintaining project records.
• Assist with coordination of studio events, workshops, and team activities.
• Provide additional administrative support to the wider team during busy periods.
Design & Project Assistance (where relevant)
For candidates with a design background or interest, responsibilities may also include:
• Assisting with the preparation of presentations, concept boards, and visual materials.
• Conducting research into materials, products, and design precedents.
• Supporting basic drafting, mark ups, or layout adjustments (depending on skill level and software proficiency).
• Contributing to ad hoc project tasks that benefit from a design aware perspective.
Skills & Experience
Essential
• Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or administrative support role is essential.
• Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Professionalism, discretion, and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general digital tools.
Desirable
• Experience within an architectural, design, or creative studio environment.
• Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
• Genuine interest in architecture, interiors, or the built environment.
