Remcon Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Leading Hand for a hands‐on role that also includes site supervision responsibilities to join our team on the Gold Coast. This is a full‐time position with a company vehicle that will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing remedial construction projects from start to finish and will also involve hands‐on work to assist in progressing the projects. As the Leading Hand/Site Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of the construction team, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest standards. Remcon is a rapidly growing company who is passionate about repairing buildings to the highest standards and going above and beyond for our clients.
Personal attributes & skills set
* Team Player with Leadership qualities
* Organised
* Experience in Concrete remediation
* Experience in Liquid Waterproofing Membrane Installation
* Experience in carpentry (highly regarded but not essential)
* Understand the complexities of construction
What you'll be doing
* Carrying out remedial tasks as above
* Supervise and coordinate the work of the construction team, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
* Monitor and maintain health and safety standards on site, conducting regular risk assessments
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
* Prepare progress reports and provide updates to the project manager
* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience as a Leading Hand
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegating tasks effectively
* Excellent problem‐solving and decision‐making skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders
* Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
* Relevant experience in construction
