To do this, we're seeking a dynamic and passionate Volunteer Coordinator, 4 days per week, to join our team and lead the growth and development of our Volunteer Program.

About the Role:
As part of our strategic objectives, Capecare is looking for a dynamic and creative Volunteer Coordinator to further enhance, coordinate, and expand Capecare's current Volunteer Program across all business areas – including residential aged care, community, and lifestyle services.
You'll work collaboratively with our People & Culture team, Allied Health Team and Lifestyle Teams, to recruit, support, and retain a passionate team of volunteers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive Volunteer Program in consultation with the Chief People Officer.
* Participate in and support community engagement activities to promote volunteer involvement.
* Drive the growth and scope of volunteer engagement across Capecare.
* Assist in volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and compliance documentation.
* Provide orientation and day-to-day support to volunteers.
* Coordinate training, maintain accurate records, and a volunteer database.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of the program through data, feedback, and surveys to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage the volunteer roster and ensure consistent communication across the volunteer group.
* Plan and deliver volunteer recognition events and initiatives.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure volunteer support enhances allied health and lifestyle programs.
About You:
We're looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong sense of community, and the ability to engage and inspire volunteers. You'll need to be highly organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities with empathy and professionalism.
To be successful, you will have:
* Experience in the coordination and management of a team.
* Experience in the development and implementation of a volunteer program/model.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate a volunteer program appropriate to aged care.
* Ability to manage time efficiently and plan, prioritise, and carry out necessary work to meet required deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Ability to build strong working relationships.
