Business Development Manager Australia - Independent Hotels Sales

What you will do

* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the independent hotel market.
* Manage outbound sales activities for a designated portfolio of independent hotels.
* Sell the Lighthouse Indy product suite – Pricing Manager, Channel Manager, Reservation Manager, and Booking Engine.
* Identify customer needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions to drive adoption of Lighthouse products.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with independent hotel clients.
* Negotiate contracts, close agreements and maximize revenue.
* Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and objectives.
* Collaborate with the SDR team to identify and develop opportunities within the assigned territory.
* Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to generate leads and expand Lighthouse's presence.
* Track sales activities in our CRM system and meet or exceed KPI targets.
* Develop and execute business development plans to achieve sales targets and optimize sales strategies.
* Provide client feedback to the Product Development team to enhance product offerings.

Where you will have impact

Your impact will be directly tied to revenue growth and client acquisition within the independent hotel market. You will play a key role in expanding Lighthouse's market presence by fostering strong relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring customer success. You will leverage AI‐driven insights and automation across CRM, conversation intelligence and commercial data to improve forecast accuracy, elevate pipeline quality and continuously optimize sales processes in partnership with Sales Operations.

You'll be joining the Sales team within the wider Revenue department. We are a global team of more than 150 sales professionals across 24 countries and part of our APAC hiring department—a team of 36 people focused on growing market share in mature and emerging territories.

Who you are

* Proven experience in a full sales cycle role.
* Exceptional command of the English language.
* Experience in business development or sales, preferably in hospitality or SaaS.
* Strong understanding of independent hotel operations and technology needs.
* Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship‐building skills.
* Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce.
* Self‐motivated with a results‐oriented mindset.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* AI curious and performance obsessed; actively explores automation, generative AI and data‐driven insights to improve coaching, forecasting and deal execution.
* A strong interest in the travel and hospitality industry.
