Events Coordinator Clerk Grade: 5/6 Annual Salary Range: $99,938 - $110,271 per annum plus superannuation Work Type: Temporary (to 17 July 2026, with possibility of extension), Full-time Location: Hybrid, principally in-office location at McKell Building Exciting opportunity in Stakeholder Engagement and Events team at the Department of Customer Service (DCS). Support and coordinate a range of event-related activities and stakeholder engagement services including preparation of presentation materials, stakeholder information, issues management and digital strategies to support the achievement of organisational objectives. We’re looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Event Coordinator to support the Stakeholder Engagement and Events team within the Policy, Strategy and Governance Division. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in delivering impactful external-audience-facing events to support DCS and NSW Government priorities. In this role, you will coordinate multiple concurrent events. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop communication materials, manage issues and deliver high quality in-person, hybrid and online events. You will leverage technical platforms including Swift Digital, Slido, MS Teams and other engagement tools to support seamless event coordination and communication. You will work in a high-performing team support the achievement of business objectives. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: strong organisational and event coordination skills experience managing diverse stakeholders with professionalism and clarity ability to work independently and in a team environment attention to detail and commitment to polished, accurate communications experience with event delivery tools, including Swift, Slido, and virtual event platforms flexibility, resilience and a collaborative mindset. Key accountabilities include: Plan, coordinate, and deliver in-person, online and hybrid events for a variety of internal stakeholders to support organisational priorities. Develop and deliver polished event briefs, video presentation content and communications that effectively convey key messages across multiple channels. Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, logistics and content requirements, ensuring alignment with business outcomes. Manage multiple events simultaneously, balancing competing deadlines, changing priorities and short turnaround times. Use digital engagement tools (including Swift, Slido, MS Teams and other platforms) to support event registration, live audience engagement and reporting. Prepare and maintain operational resources, including event day folders, staff briefs, run sheets and supporting materials. Coordinate communication collateral and stakeholder information to meet engagement needs and ensure quality and consistency. Update dashboards and reports, evaluate communications and events to inform continuous improvement. Develop guidelines and protocols for communication materials, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and accessibility requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, including communications, design, technology and business areas to support seamless service delivery.
