As a Custodial Officer at Acacia Prison, you'll play a vital role in the supervision, care, rehabilitation, and reintegration of inmates. You'll help create a safe and respectful environment where individuals are supported to make positive life changes. This full-time, permanent role is based in Wooroloo, WA, offering both purpose and stability in your career.
As a Custodial Officer in the Acacia Prison team, you'll make a positive impact by:
* Ensuring safety and security through effective supervision and dynamic security practices
* Supporting rehabilitation and reintegration by encouraging engagement in education and work programs
* Conducting searches, responding to incidents, and preparing accurate reports
* Building positive relationships with inmates and staff based on respect and fairness
* Promoting cultural awareness and inclusion across the facility
* Maintaining a safe and secure workplace by following health and safety protocols

* A Certificate III in Correctional Practice, or willingness to obtain it within the first year (full training provided)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to stay composed and professional in challenging situations

* A valid driver's licence
