Exciting new team at the Launceston General Hospital, aspart of the Rheumatology and Persistent Pain Service, is looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Rheumatology!
Team
This position is part of an exciting new team at the Launceston General Hospital, aspart of the Rheumatology and Persistent Pain Service currently being established, enhancing equity of access to specialist rheumatology services in Northern Tasmania.
The Role
This role requires an experienced nurse who can provide leadership, support and expert advice to other members of the health care team to ensure the efficient and effective coordination and provision of nursing care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, as well as being a clinical resource for patients and carers. The Rheumatology CNC will also coordinate and evaluate the intake, planning, assessment, evaluation and discharge processes for Rheumatology clients referred from both the acute sector and the community within an outpatient setting.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to apply contemporary nursing theory and practice in the management of complex patients.
* Demonstrated adaptability and a strong interest in acquiring specialised knowledge and clinical expertise in Rheumatology.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary environment and demonstrate a capacity to provide clinical leadership and exercise professional judgment and initiative whilst working with minimal supervision.
Details of appointment
Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

* Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type.

Essential criteria
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Desirable criteria
* Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications.
* Current Driver's Licence.
