Support Young People and Families
We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide culturally safe support to multicultural young people and their families experiencing mental health challenges. This role focuses on family-inclusive practice, community engagement, and reducing stigma, while supporting access to care.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide culturally sensitive support to young people and their families
* Work closely with the headspace team to co-develop resources, enhance cultural safety, and empower families throughout the treatment journey
* Accredited training (e.g. Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work) and cultural supervision will be fully supported
Requirements
* Experience:
* Proven experience working within a fast-paced environment
* Has experienced being a family member/carer of an individual experiencing a mental illness or has their own lived experience of mental illness and has demonstrable experience of recovery
* Understanding of public and private mental health systems
* Understanding of recovery and strength-based practice for Peer Practitioners
* Demonstrating appropriate boundaries especially in regards to self-disclosure
Qualifications and Other Requirements
* Certificate IV in Mental Health / Peer Work or equivalent
* Drivers Licence
* Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
* Current or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance
