Join one of Australia's most respected design studios, recognised nationally for thoughtful, design-driven work across multi-residential, civic, education and mixed-use projects. With 30+ years of award-winning practice, this studio is known for intelligent planning, rigorous delivery and a genuine commitment to its people.
They are now seeking a Senior Architect to lead significant projects from DA through to construction. You'll act as project leader – coordinating architecture, interiors and landscape, managing client relationships, and overseeing quality, budgets and program across the full lifecycle of complex, design-led projects.
You'll join a collaborative Sydney studio where leaders remain hands-on, teams are supported, and design integrity is non-negotiable. It's an ideal step for a technically strong architect ready to take on more project, client and team leadership while still staying close to the work.
What You'll Do
* Lead multi-residential and mixed-use projects from DA through documentation, tender and construction
* Take on the role of Project Lead – overseeing scope, programme, quality, fee and client satisfaction
* Coordinate integrated services (architecture, interior, landscape) into a cohesive design outcome
* Manage day-to-day project activities: forecasting, resourcing, progress reporting and risk management
* Lead client communication, presentations and workshops; build long-term client relationships and repeat work
* Direct and review documentation across all phases, ensuring clarity, buildability and design consistency
* Oversee construction phase services – RFIs, site inspections, shop drawing review and defect resolution
* Mentor project teams and graduates, providing clear direction, feedback and support for their development
What You'll Bring
* 10+ years' professional experience, including delivery of complex multi-residential projects
* Registered Architect (or close to registration), ideally with DBP registration in NSW
* Track record as Project Architect / Project Leader running projects from DA through to completion
* Strong capability across project planning & design, documentation and construction phase services
* Confident client leadership skills with the ability to manage expectations, negotiate and maintain trust
* Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams and managing approvals pathways
* Solid understanding of NCC/BCA, relevant planning controls and multi-residential standards
* A collaborative leadership style – able to motivate teams, give clear direction and support others to perform at their best
About the Studio
